Have you ever eaten something that tasted OH SO GOOD and then a few hours later, you feel cranky, tired, and sluggish?
Do you know what foods GIVE you energy and what foods ZAP your energy?
When I work with clients, we learn to identify the foods that are healthy and energizing for them (because even foods commonly deemed as healthy may not be energizing for everyone; everyone’s body chemistry is unique). When we feel uplifted and positive, we are able to make more conscious choices for ourselves in every area of our lives!
So the next time you eat something, stop and ask yourself; is this food providing you with the kind of energy that you want to have, or is it making you feel worse?
If it is making you feel worse, then the food does not serve you; even if it is "deemed" healthy!
Keeping a food journal can help you figure out what foods are really good for you and your energy level. Try it for just a week; (you can do anything for 7 days!) just jot down what you eat and how it makes you feel.
Knowing what foods increase your energy level, health and well being are important; the more energy you have, the better you will feel, and the better you feel, the more motivated you will be to take care of yourself!
